Achieving goals and making children feel successful is the most rewarding part of being an educator. I can assist in student's reaching goals and success through intense one on one tutoring in specific areas of concern. I use specialized strategies and skills to increase student's learning and retaining knowledge.
I have many years experience teaching in the public school and tutoring along with a Master's Degree in Education and a National Board Certification in Special Needs.
I am certified in the following areas: Reading,Elementary K-6, Middle School: Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Math, English 6-12, History and Social Studies and last of all SPECIAL EDUCATION.
I enjoy tutoring because the hours are flexible and i find it rewarding to see student's feel success and improve grades and test scores.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out specifically what the student needs, so I can gather materials and perform brief assessments if needed. I use varous materials including paper and online services to help a student with Reading, Writing, Math, or Social Studies.
