Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do is conduct a diagnostic test on every student to see where they are in their learning journey. Once I finish I meet with the parent to discuss how many days I suggest their child to be tutor and I create an individualized plan for every student to help them meet their learning needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a teaching science and math for 8 years in the public school setting
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have weekly and monthly plans available.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as a substitute teacher and fell in love with education.
What types of students have you worked with?
ESE, ADHD and students with disabilities
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet or speak with the tutor to see their intentions for your child.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should sit down with their parents and see what would be the best questions to ask their teacher. I suggest asking what are their weak subjects or areas in their class. Where they feel they need the most help in the class? and what are some tips they can suggest to help them in their learning journey.
