Hi everyone.

My name is Tim Rajpathak and I’ve been a math tutor for 14 years. It disturbs me to see people struggling with math and therefore, I look for ways to make math concepts easier for people to understand.

I compare problem-solving to my client’s hobbies or real life scenarios, as well as showing people how to solve problems, step-by-step. Even if something seems straight forward, I still explain it, so that a client understands it. I sometimes use humor (or play problem-solving games), to make my sessions more entertaining. These methods have helped a lot of people pass their math classes because they have made math easier to understand.

People who aren’t studying math in college may need to take some math classes, as a requirement for their major. However, I’ve noticed that there are NOT many math tutors available to assist them. On the other hand, I’ve also noticed that those available to assist, tend to make the math material more difficult to understand, as I experienced when majoring in math in college. I’d like to see non-math majors (or math-majors) succeed and NOT get stuck.

So, I analyze the math concepts and write my own notes to better explain them. These notes explain why something is the way it is, NOT just saying it is what it is. Then my client understands and is able to solve problems.

Therefore, I feel like I can do an excellent job, assisting people on this site. I look forward hearing from you. ☺
