I have more than 6 years of classroom experience and have tutored students for many years. I'm certified in the state of Florida in K-12 ESE, K-12 Reading, and K-6 All Subjects. I have Masters degree in Elementary Education and am working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
I love seeing kids light up when they understand something for the first time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first meet with the parent and student to find out what the need is currently. I also reach out to the student's teacher to find out information to pinpoint areas of need. I will give the student some assessments to find their strengths and weaknesses and help to build the areas in which they are lacking.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified teacher, kindergarten through sixth grade all subjects, K-12 ESE, and K-12 Reading. I have a Master's Degree in Education and I'm currently working on my Doctorate in Education. I have classroom experience and experience through private tutoring.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices range from $30 to $60 an hour depending on the amount of preparation needed, distance I am traveling to meet with the student, and I give discounts for multiple sessions a week. I also have extensive experience tutoring online.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching an adult learning program through a state college and enjoyed the experience so I decided to pursue my Master's Degree in Education. I've began working in elementary education and I love working with students everyday.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from a kindergarten level all the way up to high school levels. In my classroom experience and through tutoring I have worked with students who have English as a second language, gifted students, regular education students, as well as students with exceptional needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend the student finds someone qualified in the area of need. Also, find someone that you enjoy working with.
