Understandable Mathematics
About
I have tutored students from 6th grade through college in all math classes and at all levels for over 20 years. I see my role as more of a coach; supporting, encouraging, and instilling self-confidence and skill development also focus on preparing for and taking tests. I have also worked with test prep for ASVAB, SAT, and ACT. I have taught all high school math courses, my favorites being Algebra 2, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus AB. I have also taught College Algebra through a local state college.
Each student is unique, so my tutoring is always designed to match the specific needs of my students - while facilitating understanding rather than momentary memorization. Success for me is when students say “I’m good” and have gained confidence and improved performance.
