About

Hi I'm Hannah! I am a recent graduate of the University of North Florida, with an elementary education degree. I love working with kids and seeing them flourish as they learn, explore, and grow. I have had the privilege of working with many students from lots of different backgrounds. When I was still in high school, I worked for a Summer camp that allowed kids with autism to have the same opportunities that any kid should have. We had fun swimming, going on field trips, and above all having fun!

Having fun is, of course, the best way to learn. I always try to incorporate this truth into the classrooms I’ve taught in and the organizations I’ve volunteered with. As an elementary education undergraduate major, I have worked in classrooms with students from ages 4-11. Each class averaging about 20 students. I have been able to deliver content ranging from different types of animals, to different forms of energy. Including drawing, acting, and experimenting.

Not only have I worked with many students with Summer camps and schools, but I have also volunteered with girl scout troops and horseback riding barns with kids with disabilities. I have loved watching every kid I’ve worked with overcome their battles, whether it be learning magnetic energy, or learning to verbalize their feelings. Working with students is my passion and I love seeing them learn, grow, and flourish!

    Frequently asked questions

My biggest priority is to ensure students will be receiving the instruction they need in a fun, engaging, and positive way. My first visit will most likely entail me getting to know my student and assessing their academic needs, based on the inquiery provided beforehand.

I do not have a set pricing system for my lessons and I am willing to work with families based on their needs.

I began teaching and mentoring students in a church that I loved volunteering with. As I worked with these young children, I found a passion in seeing kids grow and flourish. I later worked in Summer camps and then began working in classrooms as I started earning my college degree.

I have worked with many students. My students have ranged from 4 years old, to 11 years old. I have extensive work experience in working with students with disabilities- primarilt autism, but have worked with kids with paralysis, down syndrom, amongst other disorders.

My biggest advice would be know what you're looking for and what you want the outcome ti be. There are so many great teachers and tutors in Duval and in surrounding areas!
