Former Math Competitor || ACT, SAT, & AP Prep || 3+ Years Tutoring Experience

I am a college freshman with an outstanding academic record (see “Qualifications” below) and over three years of experience tutoring on other platforms. As a recent high school graduate, I have the distinct advantage of understanding the student process, connecting to learners, and knowing what it takes to succeed in competitive academic environments—and it’s not “tips and tricks”.

I believe that genuine curiosity and understanding is at the root of all learning and testing. Students in tutoring are fully capable of success, but often lack intrinsic motivation because of enormous external pressure put on their scores, formulaic approaches to teaching STEM subjects, or a lack of belief in their own abilities (“math just isn’t my thing”). As a tutor, it is my job to counteract that.

With a positive attitude and a strong belief in my students, I help them rediscover the joy in learning. I ask questions, dive deep into why things work, demystify formulas and methods, personalize my approach, and give encouragement at every step of the way. As we work our way through practice problems and official past tests, students develop understanding and increase their confidence. This improves grades and scores, but most importantly it helps students connect with the material and take personal pride in their abilities to learn and grow.

APs: Calculus BC, Physics 1, Physics 2, and Physics C

AMCs and F = ma

Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Calculus

Qualifications:

3+ Years Tutoring Experience (Schoolhouse.world and local private tutoring)

SAT Math: 800

ACT: 36 (and a 36 on ACT math in 7th grade)

AP: 5’s on Calculus BC, Physics 1, Physics 2, and Physics C (along with 16 other AP exams)

5-time AIME Qualifier (American Invitational Mathematics Exam)

3-time USAPHO Qualifier (USA Physics Olympiad)
