I have been a Lee county teacher for 9 years with experience teaching both middle school and elementary. I have tutored students from 3rd grade through high school level in math. I tutor based on the needs of the student whether it is test prep, homework help or focusing on mastery of struggling skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first meeting, I try to get a feel for where the student is at with their math skills. Once I identify their struggles and what they need help with the most (ie: homework, test prep, comprehension), I develop lessons and math problems to help guide the student to understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught 6th grade math for Lee County for the last 6 years and tutored from 5th grade math all other way to Algebra 1 for the last 5 years. I have also created math curriculum for the district for middle school for the last 3 years.
