I'm a veteran Special Education teacher with over 35 yrs. of experience. I am state certified in language arts, math, science, social studies. Grades k- 12 . I presently am a middle school teacher at a local middle school. I have my masters degree ,and specialist license. I enjoy tutoring because I like working one on one and seeing progress. I have a masters degree in Exceptional Education and 42 yrs. teaching experience. I am state certified in all subjects k -12. Language Arts ,Social Studies, Science, and Math. I have taught elementary, middle, and high school. I am county trained in all FSA Reading, Math Programs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest a student ask the teacher questions about what they need help with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students need to assert themselves and become their own advocate in the classroom and in all areas of life. Never be afraid to ask a teacher to repeat a definition, explain a concept, or for extra help.
