What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I typically like to start by getting to know them a bit, and then understanding where they are not just struggling but also excelling. That way I can be sure to help bring them up to speed with their difficult areas, but also offer rewarding challenges to help reinforce the areas they have a strong understanding of.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I have limited experience as a tutor specifically, I have worked as a TA for an intro computer science class, as well as two years as a summer camp counselor for children ages 8-11.

For academic tutoring, about $35 / hour, price may vary a bit depending on age or topic.
