About

I have taught at the university level for over a decade. I recently moved to the DC area to take care of my Mother. I have won the teaching award for the best professor in the undergraduate program at Washington University in St Lous.

I have a masters degree from MIT and a PhD from the University of California at Berkeley.

I love teaching. In particular I like working with students one on one or in small groups.

Jamie is a phenomenal tutor. He is effective, knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. My daughter needed a good bit of geometry catch up and support. Jamie’s work with her has translated into positive gains and we are very grateful to him!

James has been tutoring our 15 year old son in geometry. Weve had experience with several tutors, our son struggles with math, and within a single session James hit it off with our son. In just a few sessions, weve seen a marked improvement. Our sons grades and confidence have improved. Geometry is our sons first period class and he no longer begins the day anxious about it, thanks to James.
James is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He has worked with our schedule, and hes even taken time on the weekends (Sunday night!) to help our son prepare for the week ahead. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have been a college professor, since 2009, primarily at Washingto University in St Louis. I have used math my whole life, and I enjoy working with students one on one or in small groups.
