I have taught at the university level for over a decade. I recently moved to the DC area to take care of my Mother. I have won the teaching award for the best professor in the undergraduate program at Washington University in St Lous.
I have a masters degree from MIT and a PhD from the University of California at Berkeley.
I love teaching. In particular I like working with students one on one or in small groups.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Determine the goals of the student. (e.g., pass Calculus 2, qualify for honors math track).
2. Assess where the student is realtive to their goal.
3. Work through exercises/problems designed to help the student reach their goal.
Typically a few example problems, followed by a lot of repitition is going to be best approach.
