Hi 👋🏾 I'm Charlene! I'm a math City Year alum. I'm currently a Special Education teacher and case manager at Paul Public Charter Middle school. I have four years of teaching experience. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lincoln University, PA and a Masters in Secondary Math Education from Johns Hopkins University. I l love teaching math and science. I enjoy when students have an 'aha moment.' 🙂

I mostly listen to the concerns of the student to get a sense of where there are in understanding the content.

How did you get started teaching?
My experience with City Year inspired me to become a teacher. I had an amazing partner teacher that truly loved teaching. My students were also amazing and made the year of service worthwhile.
