Hello students and parents! I am happy to introduce myself as a 5-year teacher with experience in music and elementary school teaching experience, as well as tutoring and note-taking experience up through the college level. I believe in a student-centered, goal-oriented approach to learning, through the course of which I plan to enhance students’ abilities to complete not what is in front of them now, but what will continue to be brought before them as they progress.

I'm Carmen Andrews. I have a BS degree with a double major in Microbiology and Zoology, minoring in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland in College Park. I also have an MS degree in Physiology from Georgetown University. I worked as a scientist, college professor and certified secondary biology teacher for many years. In addition, I was a district level science coordinator. I have been tutoring students in elementary school through graduate school for 10 years. Their success is my success!

Hi there! I am a high school English teacher with experience in both urban and suburban districts. I am a graduate from the CCSU Secondary Education (grades 6-12) program with a major in English. I am currently in a Master’s program at USJ for Instructional Technology. I am an outgoing, passionate future educator with a genuine goal of impacting the lives of our society’s youth. I have my Master of Arts in Reading and Learning Disabilities from Columbia University, Teachers College. I have taught at a number of schools for dyslexic students and apply a variety of multisensory Orton-Gillingham based programs including The Wilson Reading System when working with students struggling in phonics and spelling.
