About
Hi, I am a recently retired educator with decades of experience as a teacher and school leader in both private and public schools. My specialty is "the instructional process," which depends on knowing the learner well, understanding brain development and whole child/student development, the value of perseverance, the real connections I make with my learners, broad experience teaching most subjects (especially writing through the masters level and math through pre-calculus), and a deep understanding of Pre-K to college education.
I enjoy the feedback I get from my learners when they have the "aha" moment of "getting" it and it's an even greater joy when my learners are certain of the process of how they came to understand and can replicate it in other circumstances.
