I have taught all levels of math from grades 6 to 12 (except calculus) and have also taught 10th and 11th grade ELA. I am a special education teacher so I am used to differentiating materials to match the ability level and strengths of the students I am working with. I try to build lessons that address specific skill gaps and areas of improvement.
I enjoy working with young people more than I like working with adults most of the time. I think all students deserve to have access to a high-quality education where they can learn critical thinking as well as life skills to prepare them to be amazing humans in the real world.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught middle school math intervention through the Denver Math Programs for 2 years, and I have been a high school special educaiton teacher for the last 5 years. I have also done some tutoring for various ages and subjects.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with most grades from 6-12. I have mostly worked in low-income urban schools with large populations of english language learners. I have tutored students in elementary, middle, and high school.
