About
Hi! I'm Alexis Low. I tutor middle school to early college math. I have experience working with students with attention/executive disorders, and other significant mental health challenges. Much of that experience comes from my own life--I am autistic and I have ADHD.
When I was in grade school, I felt like math was too hard, and that it was impossible to keep everything in my brain. I struggled to connect concepts, and it prevented me from developing a complete understanding. I had convinced myself that I'd never understand. (Thankfully, this wasn't true.)
What I didn't realize until adulthood was that anyone can be good at math, if they have good support, useful strategies, and a healthy respect of personal obstacles. If my story sounds like yours, I'll be the patient support you need. By practicing together and implementing the strategies I've learned, we'll build up a belief in yourself that you truly are capable of passing any math class.
