About

I understand how to teach students who are having a hard time learning in school because I'm dyslexic. Understanding childrens' struggles with school is extremely important for their success with learning. I've worked with children with special needs which has given me so many skills and new perspectives in life to carry out through my teachings. As a volunteer at a high needs elementary school has given me many skills to support students with their individual learning needs with all subjects. Teaching children has been a passion of mine for years.

Guiding and teaching children is a privilege that I am very blessed to be a part of. Children learning and grasping what I have taught them always brings a smile to my face.

    Frequently asked questions

Building a relationship with the child is important, so they are able to trust you. I like to see previous school work and see where skills are needing to be supported.

I have been tutoring on and off for five years. Volunteering at a high needs elementary school (80% of students lived at or below the poverty line, and 25% of students where in specail education) under the supervision of many talented teachers gave me many skills like: multi tasking, supporting reading/writing, math, science, and many more. As an Rbt (registered behavior tech) I worked with kids from two to twelve years old with autsim and other developmental delays, and as an Rbt I was implementing ABA therapy. ABA is a science based behaviorism, and so I supported patients with:aggression, tantrums, early learning skills, early literary, language, school readiness, early math, fine motor, and much more. As an rbt I supported patients ages through 2-12 years old with autism and other developmental delays.
