About

Tutoring has been my passion. I always believed that it is not just a job, I feel responsible for the future of the students. Those qualities are probably what led my Economics professor to recruit me to tutor his class.

I have a BA in English Literature and Language (Ain shams University in Egypt). I then completed some business foundation classes at Sacramento City College and California State University in Sacramento.

I have been tutoring Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, and Statistics since 2001.

Frequently asked questions

1) Ask the student about the concept that he finds hard to understand

2) Ask him about other concepts that lead to the concept in question.  For example, if a student needs help with solving equations, I ask him if he is familiar with the properties of equations, and/or factoring techniques.

3) I, then start breaking down the concept into smaller chunks, solving examples and asking the student to solve examples.

I have a BA degree in English Literature as well as finishing some business foundation classes in the subjects I tutor (GPA is 4.0)

I usually charge $45 per hour

I have been tutoring English Literature since 1989 (one year after I received my BA degree).  I then moved to the States and was recruited by my Economics tutor to tutor both of his classes (Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics).  I was then recruited by Sacramento City College Tutoring center where I tutored Math, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, and Economics.

I have worked with freshmen through senior students.  I have also been tutoring Algebra and Statistics Face to Face for school students.

Not sure if you mean "tutor-related" or just any event.  I was fond of the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference.  I appreciated all sessions that helped me understanding the environmental issues and ways to resolve those to reach a less polluted planet.

I always recommend that the student tries to read about the concept before looking for help.  I would advise the student to look for a tutor who would actually tutor them, not just provide solutions.

1) Which concepts are they stuck on

2) Have they tried to solve problems by following examples provided by their teachers/books
