About

I hope to make the most difference in the importance of using logic and motivation to learn, rather than memorization and repetition.

I believe that every child or adult has different needs concerning how they absorb and use new information, and identifying this early is crucial to success.

While I am beginning public tutoring, I have three children in public school that I have been filling in all the blanks left by our underwhelming education system. So far so good. They are all three honor-roll students (although sometimes a bit unruly still in class), and they know HOW to learn, and compartmentalize what needs to be memorized for the teachers to keep their jobs. I'm very proud of them, and would like to share my successes with you!

I have not taught in a traditional classroom environment, but I have tutored in the past, having success with both children and adults. I have taught everything from elementary vocabulary, and basic math, to Microsoft Excel and music instruction.

I would love to speak with anyone about anything further individually, so please reach out and let's make a difference!

I am currently working in Corporate Business as an executive, but I have time and desire to tutor as a side-project. I am less in this for monetary gain, and more-so to pass along my personal successes, and learning methods in all elementary and general education subjects to you.

I can't wait to see successes and make an impact, even if it only happens once.

Frequently asked questions

First and foremost, we need to know where the needs are. Identifying the problem areas and where the disconnect lies is crucial.
Once we work together and identify what is needed, a lesson plan can be structured where I will focus on the area of concerns, and the understanding of HOW to absorb the source material.
I am very unhappy with the educational standards we have in our public system right now so I will use the same methods I used on both myself, and my kids to achieve success in all of their classes.

I have a Bachelors in Business Leadership, with many extra credits in Science, Math, Language Arts, Sociology, Creative Writing, and Philosophy.
Once I learned the process of how to absorb new information, the sky really was the limit. I love learning and find it a shame that most children feel like schooling and tutoring is a punishment. I definietely want to change that for any student I work with.

I do not have a standard pricing system at this time. I plan on working on a case by case basis as I tutor. I also do not want a large number of students to work with at one time. Optimally, I would like to have 1 student a time, focusing exclusively on achieving success one individual at a time and building a friendly and productive relationship, rather than perpetuating the broken methods used in public schools by over populating a classroom and losing the ability to keep things interesting and fun.

My family and friends have sort of branded me as the encyclopedia of the group. I don't recall exactly when it started, but I have taught several members of my inner circles children over the years. Since the public landscape has changes so quickly and dramatically in 2020, I have less opportunity to spend time with the groups I am used too. I made the decision that I could make a difference by assisting the public with tutoring as I have gained a great deal of pride helping people fill in any blanks left by our schools.

I've tutored both adults and children in everything from general education subjects, to computer programs and business essentials for a professional career path.
The only limits I have would be my own levels of education. I'm not afraid to admit if I don't know something or do not feel qualified in any subject in question.
So far, everyone I have tutored on a personal level has achieved success because of it, and that is a great feeling for me.

A recent event I am fond of......

Yeah nothing comes to mind. I'm not at all fond of recent events. :)

Don't get sucked in to a program where you - as an individual - are not important to your tutor. They may be here to make money, and the internet is a big place. You are not unique on the internet.
Make sure you find a tutor that cares enough to keep you unique. If you are important to them, you will both succeed.

Think about your successes in learning.

What subjects are you passionate about? Maybe consider why that passion is there. The more you know about yourself, the better you will be able to communicate what it is you want to achieve with a teacher.

Do you know what you need? Maybe you are lost as to what to ask for? Take some time to review some of the things you have trouble with. Look at these notes and perhaps you will discover what it is you need on your own, and find the answer! If not, maybe all you need a tutor for is to find that missing piece, and get you back on the right track.

Thinking is hard, but it's ALWAYS worth it!
