About
I am currently a UCLA undergraduate who is majoring in Neuroscience and on the pursuit to medical school.
Being able to teach other students about math has always been an activity that I enjoyed. I will always be patient with children, as I grew up tutoring my younger sister in math as well.
I have always loved math growing up, joining "advanced" math classes by the second grade. I have competed at multiple Math Olympiads/HOSA events (like Medical Math) and placed top 3 at each competition out of over 100 other students.
As a supplement, to demonstrate my math ability:
ACT Math score: 33
SAT Math score: 750
600/600 on the STAR test in 5th grade
Pre-algebra (7th grade math) in 6th grade
Algebra (8th grade math) in 7th grade
Geometry/Trigonometry (10th grade math) in 8th grade
AP Calculus AB in 10th grade
AP Statistics in 11th grade
Looking forward to working with bright scholars! Thank you and have a nice day! :)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first need to know what math they are studying, by looking at their current homework assignments and textbook sections. Then, I like to talk to the student individually to see where they are struggling most and be able to adapt to their learning pace. Then I will work with them to prepare for their current and upcoming lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I started since I was a child, as my parents were immigrants and did not know how to really teach my sister and me math. I excelled in math and used this ability to help out my sister and fellow classmates.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to pick a tutor that is going to treat you fairly. Every student deserves to be understood.
