I strive to go beyond having students just memorize answers to questions and learn patterns of how to answer questions of specific formats on tests. A student should not only learn enough to pass a class, but also explore the topic on their own.
I have been a tutor for almost 3 years now and I love what I do. I specialize in math; I've tutored students throughout high school and continue to do so in college. I've mainly taught algebra, elementary and middle school math, but I also have a firm understanding of statistics and calculus. I provide games for students in order to learn new concepts and work through problems on a real-life basis to keep them more engaged. A little more about me - I am studying at UC Irvine's Merage School of Business for marketing and information systems.

I believe to be a quality tutor, I personally must have a very strong grasp of the material. Therefore, it is immensely helpful for me to review the material beforehand. This will give me an advantage with budgeting the time we have together and making sure things run efficiently.
My teaching style is customized to my student's needs. There's no one size fits all in my teaching strategy, so I structure my teaching to accommodate each student's learning pace.
Elementary & Middle school tutor. Classes offered in: English, Mathematics, Science & Creative Writing.
The lessons will include revision of school materials to ensure understanding of the concept, focus on highlighted topics that need additional assistance, and practices to get children to comprehend the topics better. The lessons will be planned in such a way that the children will not need to be anxious about their school work after tuition and have time to play or read. For children that have difficulty focusing, my approach would be to introduce spaced learning which involves few minutes of condensed learning of the subject

The best way according to me is understanding the students and then teaching in their way. So that they relate to it and enjoy the learning procedure. I believe every student is talented. I just help them to realize that and become confident. Understanding why they are not able to get it, how to teach that particular thing... I just like to help. My teachers taught me in a cool way so I would love to pass that thing.

My goal is to help students understand and thrive in mathematics; anywhere from pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. I've been taking math almost my entire life. I excelled at math since elementary school, and it is still relevant in my present life as I am actively enrolled in math classes at my college. I understand many of the struggles students deal with; such as having an unsatisfactory teacher, not understanding fundamental concepts, and applying knowledge to different types of problems. I explain steps and concepts as simply and clearly as I can, and have good patience with struggling students. In the past, I
