What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our typical process when crafting a curriculum for a new student consists of 6 steps.
1. Determine a Goal
2. Assess students skill level
3. Create “roadmap” from current knowledge to the goal.
4. Work with student.
5. Assess student needs and understanding. Revise “roadmap”.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 until goal is reached.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We make sure our teachers have a complete and wholesome understanding of every subject that they teach. As far as my skills go, I have taught homeschool math for many years, and am well versed in the subjects I teach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The standard pricing system is as follows:
1-2 session(s) per week:
$40 per hour
3+ sessions per week:
$30 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching through my family. My first student was my youngest brother, who was homeschooling at the time. I have always loved math, and teaching, so it was only natural that I fell in love with teaching math. To me, there is something greatly rewarding about helping students discover new things. That is why I teach.
