Hello my name is Dana and it would be an honor to tutor your child. My services stand above because I have tutored all subjects for the past seven years. Before that, I instructed preschool through high school for 18 years but have most of my experience with elementary aged children. I also have specific certificates that allow me to teach special needs children and those with autism. I enjoy tutoring so much because it allows me to share my talents and gifts with kids and their parents. I also love working with schools and teachers to best serve children at their academic level. Katherine D. says, "Mrs. Melissa Cook is a wonderful math tutor. She helps my kids a lot. During the covid we had online school for about a year and my kids math skills went down so much. When we started to work with Mrs. Melissa she created a plan (different for each kid) which helps to improve math every day. My kids started to feel math it is not so hard for them anymore. I like she gave my kids a homework which they should do everyday. Since school doesn't provide a homework at all now. I am very glad Mrs. Melissa are working with my kids. Highly recommended." Melissa has been a great tutor for our 5 year daughter over the last 6 months. She comes to each session with a prepared lesson in which we can measure our daughter's progress. We appreciate her expertise and recommendations on learning, and she also takes into account our considerations on lesson planning. Melissa is very warm, personable, and caring with our entire family.

Our daughter LOVES TLC, and has from her very first session! She absolutely looks forward to each and every session, even getting up early on Saturday mornings, without complaint and eager to go for two hours. Her favorite thing about TLC is the clinicians, and although she is most fond of one in-particular, she's happy to work with everyone. Paisley's favorite activity at TLC is AMPS "because it feels like games, even though I know it isn't, and it helps me with my response speed." From a parents perspective, it's wonderful to see that my child is happy to be participating in this therapy. Paisley's ability to sound out and spell words was so difficult before TLC that she would fight tooth-and-nail to avoid writing, but now she willingly writes and types her homework assignments, and is improving in her ability to spell words that she wouldn't even attempt before. Most importantly, she's able to get her thoughts out on paper without the agony she used to experience while trying to express herself. Her confidence has increased, she tries when she used to give up, and she's having successes in learning that we feared she might never experience - like getting 100% on a Math quiz last week - Hooray! We couldn't feel more blessed and grateful to have found TLC!
