Alba Campbell-Rodriguez

I am currently a student at the University of Santa Cruz, California. I am an experienced tutor with several years of dedicated teaching. I specialize in tutoring a range of subjects, including mathematics, biology, and chemistry, as well as writing and reading. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish, which enables me to support Spanish-speaking students to enhance their comfort in learning. My expertise in these areas allows me to tailor my instructional approach to help meet the unique needs of each student, ranging from elementary school to high school. Furthermore, I am an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) alumni of seven years, which equips students with essential skills for college preparation and effective tutoring techniques. Through my AVID experience, I have developed strategies that promote not only academic achievement, but also essential skills such as note-taking, organization, and study habits, which are crucial for any student’s success. As a tutor, I will ensure that each student is comfortable and able to learn in a way that enhances their learning abilities in order to help unlock their potential and achieve academic success. My approach to learning fosters a positive and encouraging learning environment, motivating students to excel and develop a love for learning. I look forward to helping more students achieve their academic goals and to prepare for a successful future.
