About

Hi! I'm a Civil Engineering graduate from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and I’ve been tutoring math and engineering-related subjects for over 8 years. My journey as a tutor began while I was facing my own academic challenges — and that experience gave me a passion for helping others overcome theirs.

I’ve tutored math at every level, from elementary through college, working with students both privately and in groups across the San Fernando Valley. Some families were so eager to continue with me that I even traveled to Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Arcadia for their sessions. With younger students, I focused on building strong foundations and confidence, while with middle and high schoolers I guided them through everything from algebra to AP-level courses and test prep. At the college level, I served as a Teacher’s Assistant and also worked at Pierce College’s Tutoring Center, specializing in Calculus I & II and Differential Equations. These experiences taught me how to adapt my teaching to different learning styles, build lasting relationships, and help students see themselves as capable and confident learners.

My approach is structured and student-focused. I customize lessons based on each student’s needs, using conceptual breakdowns, example problems, and practice worksheets. If you have specific questions or assignments, you're welcome to send them ahead of time — that way, I can come to our session fully prepared to help.

I’m a firm believer in patience and encouragement. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, so I take the time to explain things as many times (and in as many ways) as needed. My goal is always to help you leave each session feeling more confident than when you arrived.

If you’re looking for a tutor who’s experienced, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in your success — I’d be happy to work with you!

From experience, I have learned that patience is key because it’s important to know that not everyone has the same learning capacity and understanding. Therefore, when I am tutoring my students, I am always patient and ready to go over the material as needed with positive energy until it’s fully grasped.

I enjoy tutoring since it allows me to help people struggling the same way I struggled growing up.
