Hello! I am a certified, experienced math teacher with a valid Mathematics Professional teaching license. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Purdue University. I have my Master of Education in Secondary Education from Valparaiso University. I am AP certified in Calculus. I have taught in public schools for five years. I have taught the following subjects: -Algebra -Geometry -Algebra 2 -Quantitative Reasoning -AP Calculus -Math Test Prep Courses I love working with students individually and helping to boost a student's math confidence! I am available both online and in person for tutoring help. I am proficient in zoom, google classroom and canvas for extra online support. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As a new customer, we will work together to find a location and time that works for both of us and there is no commitment after the first session. If you are satisfied with your experience and would like to continue sessions, we can schedule bi-weekly, weekly, or as needed sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught High School Mathematics for 5 years. I have a 10 year Professional License in Indiana in Mathematics (soon to be transferred to CA). I am AP certified in Calculus. I am qualified as a Dual Credit Educator.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 per hour for a single session however I am willing to offer discounts for multiple sessions, weekly sessions, etc.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching 5 years ago after receiving my master's degree in Secondary Education.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you or your son or daughter likes and trusts and stay consistent. Students will succeed with consistency and building up mathematical reasoning and skills.
