About
I have been tutoring for a decade and have an amazing track record of helping students grow, gain confidence, and reach their academic and learning goals. During graduate school I tutored and substitute taught all subjects at a high school. I then taught high school science and led a wellness program at the same high school prior to transitioning to private teaching. For the past 5 years I have been supporting K-12 students with various subjects but I specialize in Math.
I love seeing my students gain confidence with their skills and find a joy in learning again! I also love working one on one with students because I get to know their interests, learning styles, and the methods that work best for them as a unique learner to tailor their tutoring experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically spend the first few minutes with a new student getting to know them. I ask them questions about what they like/dislike about school, what their favorite and least favorite subjects are, what extracurricular activities they are part of, what their interests are, etc. We then talk about what their current learning goals are and start to explore where and how I can best support them. I share a little bit about my background as well as my intention of doing my best to make our tutoring sessions enjoyable and effective.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology, a Master's in Educational Psychology, and a teaching credential.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $65 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved learning and while in college I realized that it felt natural for me to work in an educational environment. I started my career while in graduate school tutoring all subjects. I felt very at home as an educator and have been teaching ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
Students of all backgrounds and age levels. I have 10 years of experience teaching students at the high school level and 5 years of experience teaching students at elementary and middle school level. During my 10 year career I have supported students with varying learning styles, English language learners, and students with disabilities such as Dyslexia and ADHD.
