About
I believe that any student can succeed if they're given the right tools, time, and attention. I endeavor to help my clients meet their short term goals while also learning something about how they learn best as individuals. That way, they'll be more prepared to tackle whatever challenges face them in the future.
A little about me: My name is James, and I'm currently a 2nd-year PhD student studying mechanical engineering and robotics at UC San Diego. I earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering from UMass Amherst in 2015 where I also spent two years working as teaching assistant, tutor, and residential peer mentor. From 2016 to 2018, I worked at C2 Education in San Francisco and later in San Diego, teaching a wide range of topics to middle- and high-school students: SAT, ACT, and other standardized test prep; AP-level math, physics, and writing; study and communication skills; and reading comprehension.
Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more about my background, expertise, and methods. I look forward to working together!
