Being a student for most of my life, I understand what it takes to taylor the teaching differently to every student depending on what works best for them. I love to help motivate every student to excel in their subjects, no matter how hard they may think it should be!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, it's very important to understand where the student is at with the subject and what method of teaching works best for them. If I feel like the student does not have a solid background knowledge on the subject, then it is always useful to go over the basics so that they are able to fully grasp the harder topics we are to go through. Also, every student learns differently, so I try to assess what will work best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I just graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in political science and economics. I've also taken several education studies classes in college to better understand efficient and effective learning environments. I've had experience tutoring younger kids ever since I was an assistant teacher in high school and I've also volunteered to tutor kids in underprivaleged communities.
