About

I have an Associate's Degree from Sacramento City College (SCC) and am currently a MechanicalEngineering major at UC Davis. While my time at SCC I've tutored mathematics classes ranging from Intermediate Algebra to Calculus 2. The mathematics courses that I'm least knowledgeable about are Geometry and Statistics.

I've always enjoyed teaching students/classmates/family memebers about mathematics. It always bring me joy when people are able to grasp a concept that they've been struggling with for a while.

I enjor teaching other mathematics so much that I've contemplated becoming a part-time substitute teacher after acquiring my degree to be able to share the wonders and joys that mathematics could bring to us in the world.

Frequently asked questions

I usually tend to understand what exactly is the student struggling. Sometimes this can range from making basic mistakes to not understanding the concepts being taught in class because everyone is taught differently. Essentially building a foundation to build upon with the student.

I've tutored fellow college students in classes such as Intermediate Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus 2. I've also have helped many friends with their math classes in high school/college in the past years.

Not yet, I've never tutored outside of college and assisting friends/families.

I've always loved to be able to help others while they're struggling. This passion really ignited while doing Intermediate Algebra at community college and classmates letting me know that I'm able to teach the subject very well.

The only types of students I've worked with so far are college students.

Helping my cousin with her Physics homework after making some algebraic mistakes.

Mostly to be open-minded and be willing to learn. I think the biggest misconception that people come across is that if they don't understand the first time they tend to quit and not give it their all.

This could vary depending on the subject but I think the most important thing is being able to understand what exactly is the question asking for one to do.
