Primary Education Tutoring/ Homework Help
About
I am a Senior in High School, who is very comfortable with tutoring, but allows the student to do most of the work. By providing lessons and using a commonality with the student, it helps to create a bridge between the student's interests and familiarities with a learning concept.
I am very patient and willing to provide any help that the student needs. I understand that these are unprecedented times in education, and parents just do not have the time to work and teach their kids.
I love seeing students grasp on to a concept that they have been struggling with. The feeling of finally understanding something is so satisfying and fulfilling.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Preferibly I work with students in Elementary and Middle School. I begin with asking where they go to school, what grade they are in, some of their interests and hobbies, their favorite subject in school, and their least favorite subject in school. This helps me interact with the student and lessens the nerves of meeting somebody of older age.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Senior in High School. I have passed all four of my AP Exams during the year 2019-2020. (Calculus AB, Biology, English Language and Composition, and U.S. History)
I have the study habits of an active student, which allows me to relate to the student and suggest new practices.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$10/ 30 minutes (one subject)
$20/ 60 minutes (one subject)
$40/ two+ subjects, does not matter the time period
How did you get started teaching?
I have been a tutor since 2016-2017. I was in a club called AVID Leadership Club, which was a program that focused on helping students (with 3.0-) with homework or classwork that they have been struggling with.
Since then, I have been tutoring family members and friends during lunches or after school over facetime.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with GATE Elementary students, all Middle School students, and classmates of mine (which include Honors and AP students).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I am a student as well, and I can relate to you on a student to student basis.
