What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If it's for math we work from the homework and build on that. As far as English if it's English literature we will work on writing skills for essays. For ESL we work in several areas like conversations, reading and writing from basics to advance. Placement test will be given in order to assess where the student needs to begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified in ESL and I am a USA certified teacher. I have taught 14 years internationally especially in English Language Arts, English Literature and English as a second language. I also am a reading specialist for those students that struggle with reading. In math, I work at the elementary school level, for grades 1st through 5th grades with students struggling with basic math.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per hour per student.
How did you get started teaching?
I worked first as a para educator in special education for grade preschool through high school for 5: years before becoming a certified teacher.
