Hello, my name is Colleen Contreras. I have been tutoring Math Students for 34 years, with ages ranges from 5 to 71 years. I am able to help in any Math from Basic Arithmetic through Calculus, incuding Statistics. For 8 1/2 years, I worked for Shasta Community College in the Math Dept, tutoring a huge variety of students in many different math classes. Since then, I have worked for a High School for the past 10 years as their Math Tutor and Aide in the classrooms. A big part of my job is working with Special Education Students, which can be challenging, but also very rewarding. I am very successful with my students, often getting them through Algebra 2 in high school. One of my best gifts is being able to break down complicated concepts and make them more simple and understandable. I Love seeing the A-Ha moments - seeing the 'Lightbulb' go on!!!
