About
I absolutely love math and I love tutoring people. I currently tutor at my old elementary school and it is a blast! I also teach Japanese at my current high school so I have a lot of tutoring experience. I believe that math is one of those subjects that is fun once you get the hang of it, and my job here is to make it fun for you all.

I enjoy seeing the growth in the individual that I am working with and how quickly they are able to learn the concept.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I want to see exactly what they are not understanding so I can approach the problem with them in the best way possible. I then allow them to dissect the problem into different pieces to make it a bit easier to solve. Once that is done, I will explain certain concepts to the student that will make it so that they understand the answer fully.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken the listed math courses: 7XL, IM1, IM2, IM3, and Precalculus. This will definitely help me give knowledge to my students. I am also an experienced tutor because I tutor students at my school weekly.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The price may range from $20-$25. It really depends on how long it will take to teach the concept(s).
How did you get started teaching?
I really enjoy teaching people and sharing my knowledge with others. I began in middle school, simply tutoring elementary school students and realized that I have a passion for teaching others. In highschool I am currently tutoring both at school and out of school. Now I realized that I could be doing this online to help others out!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of students. Ranging from those who grasp the concept immediately to those that take a bit longer. I have also worked with students that get really frustrated while trying to learn a concept and I am able to handle those students very well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When I was tutoring at my school, I had a student that had no passion and no motivation to learn. They were simply there because their teacher told them they had to go to a tutor. So I began working with him and soon enough he was smiling and genuinely enjoying the work!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that genuinely enjoys what they are doing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Know what exactly you need help with. That will help us a lot! Understand where you are struggling and do not be embarrassed about making mistakes. We all make mistakes.
