I am currently a mathematics major with an emphasis on statistics at California State University - Sacramento. I've worked in an after school enrichment center for over 4 years in southern California working with students from elementary school through high school. In addition, I've done private tutoring for students up to college level statistics. I am also familiar with Common Core material as it was part of the curriculum I used with students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To start things off, I like to ask students how they feel they are doing in their class so far. I ask them what areas they are having difficulties with, and then try to create a plan on how to tackle those difficulties.
