Kayla T Tutoring

I'm a passionate math tutor with a background in tutoring students independently and professionally. Graduating Cum Laude from UCLA in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a minor in Philosophy, I was honored to receive the prestigious Regents Scholarship, the highest merit award in the UC System. As a student at Moorpark College, I graduate with a 4.0 GPA and took math up through Honors Calculus 2.

My journey into tutoring began with a deep appreciation for the challenges students face. As a student who found math challenging, I had to develop a deep understanding of the fundamental rules and operations of math in a way that was intuitive and clear. Drawing from my own experiences, I've honed a tutoring approach that emphasizes intuitive understanding and practical application.

With prior experience as both a private tutor and a course-embedded tutor for Intermediate Algebra at Moorpark College, I bring a wealth of expertise to each tutoring session. I specialize in guiding students through Algebra and lower division Economics courses. What truly fuels my passion for tutoring is witnessing the transformative 'A Ha!' moments that occur when students grasp challenging concepts.
