Corey K. says, "As a mathematician, I know and appreciate a personalized approach to learning mathematics. We hired Mike to help us augment our efforts as well as go beyond what our son is learning in school (1st grade). Our goal is to help our son learn and love mathematics and explore its wonders beyond the unfortunate school curriculums. Mike's experience in tutoring and knowledge of mathematics has been compelling. He is also very patient and has lots of tricks up his sleeve in order to ensure a personalized learning experience. I recommend him to anyone who not only wants their kid to improve on what they are required to learn at school (which is a lot of the boring stuff) as well as get introduced to things that can really get them to engage the subject." My approach is student-centric, collaborating with each individual to identify and focus on goals that they perceive as essential for their own success. I aim to foster student investment in their learning so that they may work toward accomplishments that are meaningful to them. Authentic mastery occurs as concepts are practically applied beyond simple coursework, so as much as possible, I illustrate subject material by directly relating it to areas that are of particular interest to students. This connection leads to active student engagement and strongly retained learning. I enjoy getting to know my students on an individual level and unde

Jennifer L. says, "Our daughter had college goals in which every point mattered - on her GPA and ACT. We looked at several options for test prep and Joyee had a very no-nonsense, personalized approach. We saw an eight-point increase on her ACT which contributed to not only early acceptance, but a scholarship at a prominent UC school. If results matter, call Joyee. I don’t know how he does it, but he did. Proud of them both." Read more

Marc E. says, "When I first began my calculus class, I was overwhelmed by the complexity of the subject and uncertain of my ability to grasp the intricate concepts. From our very first session, it became clear that I was in the hands of an exceptional tutor. FRANK has a genuine gift for breaking down intricate mathematical concepts into digestible and understandable components. His patience, deep knowledge, and passion for the subject are truly commendable. Each session was tailored to address my specific areas of concern, and FRANK consistently employed various teaching methods to ensure that I truly grasped the topic at hand. Beyond the lessons, what truly stood out was his genuine interest in my success. Whether it was providing additional resources, being available for last-minute doubts, or offering words of encouragement, FRANK went above and beyond the role of a typical tutor. Thanks to FRANK, not only did I pass my calculus class, but I did so with a newfound appreciation and understanding of the subject. If you're struggling with calculus (or any math topic, for that matter), I recommend my man FRANK." Read more

I am a current college student, double majoring in Trumpet Performance and Mathematics. I am comfortable teaching any level of math, from elementary to AP Calculus, and music theory, as well as some physics and coding in Python and Java. I have experience teaching others in music and playing trumpet has taught me practice discipline and techniques applicable to academic studying. I love sharing knowledge with other people and getting students enthusiastic about learning.

I wanted to say thank you to the teacher of the BC Calc review class (Joyee Lin I believe) for really going in a comprehensive + in depth review of the class. I was really worried for the AP exam as my teacher wasn't doing much to prepare us, but after taking this review class I feel really confident. Thank yoU!!

Mrs. Bradarich is a natural born teacher. My children went to the same school (Carden Academy) where Mrs. Bradarich taught for many years. My children have expressed how deeply they appreciate the education they received at Carden Academy. They have also mentioned that many of their college professors and employers have commented how impressed they are with their obtained knowledge. It is a basic education that Mrs. Bradarich can deliver. Sadly, Carden Academy is no longer. I observe the weak education that my grandson (Tyler) is currently receiving; therefore, I asked Mrs. Bradarich to tutor him. What progress Tyler has made in Math, Language, Composition, and Cursive Handwriting! His confidence is improving, as well as his attitude towards school in general, as he experiences success. He loves Mrs. Bradarich, he loves to learn...he is happy, and I am, too!

My daughter had to write a pre-algebra test in a few days and I was concerned she was struggling. I contacted SoFlo online, expressed my concern and in spite of the tight schedule they moved things around to accommodate my daughter. I witnessed the session and it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I love the teaching method, and that my daughter was offered multiple methods to solve the same problem. I recommend SoFlo highly!
