About
My service stands out in comparison to other services because I will often give lower prices than other tutoring competitors, while providing a more effective and efficient lesson plan that caters to the student's demands. Because I contstruct lesson's plans prior to a student's scheduled session, the student is more likely more out of the time provided than with any other tutor.
I enjoy providing a beneficial service to my tutoree. As a recent graduate, I can understand the frustrations a student will experience with a courseload that can be difficult to understand. I can also understand the sigh of relief and assurance a student feels when they finally comprehend their coursework and that makes it all the worthwhile to me as a tutor.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process with working with a new student is observing how they learn. By understanding how student learns best, I am able to construct a learning method that will optimize their potential to understand the lesson. Being a recent graduate, I am not too far removed from student perspectives and, can relate to their frustrations with a course's material and I believe this is an overlooked advantage I may have in comparison to older tutors.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a math major at UCI and have been a part of the school's tutoring program (Larc). As a Larc tutor, you encoutner many various students who learn best in different ways. Having this experience, I am able to quickly adapt and adjust a lesson plan to cater to the student's strengths. Previous experiences I have in tutoring involve tutoring my younger sisters in their courses as well. Due to all this experience, I am not limited to certain age groups and am more than willing to tutor students of all ages.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $35-40 an hour and depending on the lesson and the prep time needed, potentially more. Because I like to construct a lesson plan that efficiently uses the tutor duration agreed upon by both parties, I will more often than not be spending additional time prior to scheduled lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
In Middle school I would tutor some of the kids in my math class and because math was a subject I really stood out in, I would go the extra mile to help my peers because it gave me a sense of joy and allowed me to develop even closer friendships with them.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all kinds of students. Students that need constant repitition to retain the material, students that learn through a couple of examples, students that just need the concept explained to them thoroughly once and it clicks. I am well prepared to tutor any type of student.
