About
My services are exceptional in that I work hard to ensure that both parties are content in their tutoring agreement. I am able to tailor the subject of interest to the students' particular strengths and weaknesses, which allows him/her to gain mastery of the subject. I have worked before with numerous students through the platform called Varsity Tutors as a private tutor. I am confident in my abilities to help students reach their desired goals and constantly reassess the quality of my services in helping progress towards those goals.
My past clients have all expressed satisfaction in my tutoring services and would be happy to testify so.
If you would like to know more about me and my qualifications, please head on over to my LinkedIn profile (link below) or contact me for a call.
I enjoy working with students and helping them develop their critical thinking skills and educational background/mastery of different subjects. It is very rewarding as a tutor to see the look of satisfaction on a student's face after understanding a problem or receiving their desired scores. I enjoy being part of the educational process and helping students receive the necessary scores and grades that will help open the doors to the places they want to go.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To begin, I hope to meet the student and determine if us working together will be a good match. I want to ensure that I can meet all the needs of the student because taking him/her on for tutoring. Secondly, I would assign the student a diagnostic test for his/her particular subject to ensure that we are on the same page about his/her strengths and weaknesses. This diagnostic test would help establish the topics and concepts that need to be worked on in the class. Finally, we would proceed by beginning lesson plans and assignments.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a second-year with College honors standing at University of California, Los Angeles majoring in Biology on the Pre-med track. In June 2018, I graduated from Bolsa Grande High School with a Golden State Merit Diploma and high honors. I was ranked in the top 1% of my graduating class with a cumulative 4.2 GPA. In high school, I took 10 AP classes and 3 Honors, earning two AP Scholar with Honors awards from Collegeboard.
I have worked with a previous tutoring platform called Varsity Tutors and have been successful in helping many of my clients or their children achieve desired goals and scores. Varsity Tutors has also given me appropriate training needed to better tailor to the needs of my students, allowing me to be flexible and adaptable to different dynamics of people and situations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system. However, if you are interested in my services, we can negotiate a reasonable price that works for both of us.
I have worked with students ranging from $20-$60 an hour, dependent on the family's ability to pay and the subject.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always had a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with others. I find that through tutoring, I am able to best do this in a productive and engaging way.
I first started tutoring in high school for free and gradually started to gain clients after Varsity Tutors, a reputable tutoring company.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a diversity of students, from kindergarten to college students. I do not have a preference for the ages of my students.
However, I would like to note that the majority of my students have been 6th-12th graders.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Questions that students should consider in order to create good tutoring goals and expectations:
1. What would you like out of this tutoring experience? Better grades? More confidence? Higher analytical skills?
2. What are some things you currently struggle with and would like to develop?
3. Do you enjoy being challenged more or do you enjoy having the material be clearly presented and taught? In other words, do you enjoy instruction or independence in learning?
4. What else do you want me to know about you and your learning needs and goals?
