Nicholas Falstad
About
Nicholas is an incoming Computer Engineering student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with extensive experience in mathematics, physics, and computer science. Throughout high school, he earned a 4.4 GPA, scored 5s on numerous AP exams including Calculus BC, Physics C, and Computer Science A, and developed expertise extending through multivariable calculus and calculus-based electromagnetism. His tutoring experience includes leading his high school's Peer Tutoring Program, teaching SAT math preparation courses through a website called Schoolhouse, and creating a website containing hundreds of original AP practice questions used by students and teachers alike. What sets Nicholas apart is his ability to connect with students as a recent learner while drawing on hundreds of hours of tutoring experience. He emphasizes guided practice, active problem-solving, and repetition, helping students build both deep understanding and confidence in STEM subjects.
