Computer Science And Math Tutoring
About
I have 7 years of experience programming and tutoring in different languages including C++, Python, JavaScript, and Java. I am a college student who actively codes in their free time, and helps out others when I can. I have taken AP Computer Science and finished with an A+, and got a 5 on the AP exam.
I also like mathematics. I have tutored in mathematics for various subjects such as algebra, calculus, and probability. I have completed both Calculus AB and BC exams with a 5.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will first ask them what they know, then what they are confused on. I will never tell the answer straight up, because that doesn't teach them anything. Building upon what they know and using real world examples is a great way to help students retain what they learn. After the problem is solved, I will give a brief summary of what we just did.
I make the lesson as fun and engaging as possible, and get to know the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am majoring in computer science at my college, and enjoy coding. I have made several games using just Java and C++, always challenging myself to learn something new each time. I code a lot, and with that, I have gained a lot of experience to recognize errors or when something can be written more efficiently.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is normally $30/hour
How did you get started teaching?
Computer science and math are two of my favorite subjects. I found that a lot of people struggle with understanding concepts, so I naturally try to help my peers understand concepts with studying and tutoring. Over time, i've began to enjoy helping others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience tutoring a wide range of students. All students from first grade up to the college level
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I participated in a coding jam over the summer with my friend. We were able to make a game in a weekend!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is passionate about what they are teaching! If they understand it on a fundamental level, they can teach it simply.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Recall what you know about the problem first, then work through step by step.
If you still don't understand, it is good to get someone to talk you through it
