I'd like to coordinate the math with what the kids enjoy doing. This will help them focus and make them curious about what else they can learn. I also don't want to pressure the kids too much knowing that can mess with their mental health. I have worked with elementary kids before at Madison Elementary School as a community service and practice for doing it for real. I have also been the top student at math in past classes and put in charge of helping other students understand it. Although I am a beginner to tutoring as a paying job I assure you I have had loads of experience in the past and will be able to work with your kids thoroughly.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to get them comfortable with me first, make them laugh a little, so they aren't afraid to tell me what they want. Then I'll review the work they need to get done and we'll get started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent almost two years in middle school tutoring students at Madison Elementary School for community service and practice.

I go by the hour, but I'm really laid back about the amount. I know some families can afford to give more so whatever is good for you will most likely work for me. I'd also prefer cash after the lesson but I also take money through Venmo.
How did you get started teaching?
My teachers have always told me it was a good idea considering how fast I understood the problems and how I was able to help other students understand it better than some teachers. The first time I taught was in 7th grade and I am now a high school sophomore.
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary
Specifically, students that have trouble focusing in class whether that'd be because they were nervous and afraid of the teacher or just louder and disturbing.
