About

I have 4 years of experience tutoring across K-12 and university level math. I achieved a 100% exam passing rate by working closely with my students. I dedicate my life to the subject as I am majoring in Applied Mathematics at UCLA.

I love being able to impact a student's life in a positive way that helps them grow their self-confidence and lets them see that they can surpass any obstacle. I also really like seeing the students' reactions when they finally solve a challenging problem and realize that through their hard work they achieved their goal.

Frequently asked questions

I have been a math tutor for the past 5 years, 3 of them at a math tutoring center in my hometown. Once I left the tutoring center, I started my mathematics major at UCLA which has allowed me to expand my knowledge of both math and teaching.
I started teaching when I was job searching as a junior in high school. I came across an ad for a math tutoring center that was hiring and i applied for it, went through two rounds of exams and interviews and got hired! I instantly fell in love with the job and enjoyed every second of it!

I have worked with a wide range of students. I have worked with students at the pre-school age teaching them simple addition, and in the same day, I worked with a college student at ASU teaching him calculus.

I recently was helping a student study for her Algebra 2 final, which she was very worried about. We met twice during the week and spent a couple of hours intensely reviewing her material for the exam. She did not seem at all confident at the beginning, but as we went on, she grew in confidence and it was very apparent that she was gaining a huge amount of self-confidence as we went. She aced her final exam and was really happy with both her grade, and most importantly, herself!
