About
I am a flexible, patient College Student! Ever since my freshman year in high school, I have fallen in love with mathematics. I currently attend UC Riverside with a major in Mathematics. I have been tutoring children and teenagers in math for four years. I took both AP Calculus AB and BC and received a 5 on the AB test and a 4 on the BC test with an AB subscore of 5. I took honors math courses in my sophomore and freshman years and received As in those classes. As the previous Speaker of the House of ASB at my high school, it is evident that I love helping people. In college, I have taken Single Variable Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, and Differential Equations receiving A's in each class. One way that I stand out is I put myself in the shoes of my students and realize that if I needed help, I'd like to get as much help as I can, which is why I maximize my time and efforts with my students to ensure that their effort and hard work does not go to waste!
I enjoy seeing the relief and happiness come across the face of my student as they realize that they get what they're doing. I enjoy helping others and I do whatever I can to make sure that I help them to the best of my abilities!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I like to asses how much they know on the topic. From the assesment I make judgements on what their strong points are in the subject. I then make worksheets that cater to their weak points and work with them through the worksheet. Every other session I give a quiz to update me on their stance on the subject still.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a tutor at my high school and have done private tutoring for two years. I work with an age group of different varieties. I've worked with ages ranging from 12-20!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $20-$25/hr. Depending on what math I'm tutoring and how much they know, my pricing varies.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching here in there in my classes freshman year, I was told by my peers that I was good at it and I realized that I loved helping them. I then applied to become a tutor at my school, and I spread the word to my friends and family that I was a tutor. I got accepted to become a tutor at my school and ever since then, I've tutored my fellow students, my friends, and my family.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children, teenagers, and young adults. I am a very patient and charismatic person which I believe me helps me make a bond with them. Once that bond is established it is easier for us to work together.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who you vibe with, someone who challenges you and pushes you to do the best. not someone that gives you the answers but helps you to get to the point in which you do not need someone telling you the answers.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe that they should not be afraid to ask for help. Everyone struggles, so you should not be embarrassed when you feel that you have reached your limit or that you're just completely lost. At the same time, make sure to completely digest what your teachers are telling you!
