About this tutor

Hello. My name is David Sanches. I have a Masters Degree from Stanford University and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Southern California.  I also have a TESOL Teaching Certificate from the International Open Academy.  When I was at USC, I was an Honors student and I was on the number one speech team in America.

I have more than ten years of teaching experience, including teaching hundreds of children and adults. Besides teaching, I am the lead coach for the Corona High School Speech Team, teaching the youth how to speak with impact at high school speech tournaments.

I love working with students to help them learn and succeed. I do everything with a positive attitude. I want to help encourage passion and perseverance.

I live in Corona with my wife, daughter and our dog Gabbie.

I look forward to speaking to you about how I can help develop excellence!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

To help me understand what a student needs now, I ask questions about where a student has been so far and where the student wants to be in 3 months, 1 year, and 5 years.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated with an MBA Masters Degree from Stanford University.  I also graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Political Science, and Communications from the University of Southern California.  While at USC, I was a tutor and I also was a member of the USC Speech & Debate Team; we were ranked #1 in America when I was on the team. I also have a TESOL Teaching Certificate from International Open Academy.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing depends on student requirements.

How did you get started teaching?

After working for many years at General Motors after graduating from Stanford, I wanted a second career impacting other peoples' lives and helping them have a successful life like I have been able to enjoy.  So I started teaching kids and adults online and then eventually began to also teach face-to-face in my local area.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students of all ages.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for a teacher that understands your needs and has the ability and expertise to help you able to make significant gains.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Can this teacher help me learn and achieve to where I want to be to successfully improve?
