I am a credentialed teacher / homeschool mom. I taught in the classroom, then my two children along with homeschool classes for other students. I also tutor dyslexic students in reading.
I love what I do and am excited to meet your student.
Helping a student succeed is wonderful, but I really like changing the student's view of a subject that was once hated into a favorite.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For a new student, I first discuss with the parent what the goals are for the student. Then I will work with the student and assess where help is needed. After that it's just figuring out how to teach to that student. People learn in different ways, so once you figure out how they learn, you can teach them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor's degree along with a CA Teaching Credential.
