I am a certified Special Education teacher with experience working with students grades TK-8th. I've worked in education for 8 years and have experience teaching fundamental skills like reading, reading comprehension, writing, and math to students with a variety of different needs. I love working with students and figuring out what makes them tick. My goals are to help them make progress in their academic goals and to help them feel confident and at ease!

After watching a struggling student move from failing to A’s, I began tutoring dyslexic students in addition to tutoring in learning to read, writing for all ages, and reading comprehension. With over 20 years of experience in education, child welfare, and social science research, I’ve learned to support learners of diverse abilities and learning styles. I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar, reading comprehension, and essay writing. I hold a Master’s degree in Sociology and have experience teaching students from elementary through high school, both individually and in small groups.
