What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the subject in which they are looking for support, we will ask basic questions in relation to the student's age and grade level and assess needs from there. We typically spend the first lesson getting to know each other a bit and doing this assessment.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard is $40/hr.
What types of students have you worked with?
We've worked with students grade K through 5 in math, reading, writing, and spelling.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you like your teacher and have a good rapport with her/him. It's always easier to learn from someone you like! If you have specific learning styles that work best for you, ask if the teacher can accommodate for them or be flexible for you.
