About
One huge problem that students face is the lack of motivation because they feel stupid when they do not understand something. In fact, that is terrible and should never happen! Learning is continuous in life and one setback does not define you. Stellar tutoring stands out because I am a student myself (junior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), and I believe that when students explain topics to other students, they are able to comprehend them at a level that allows them to feel motivated, smart, and confident.
I love teaching because it doesn't even feel like work to me, I love explaining topics and I volunteer as a tutor as an advanced statistics TA for professors. I love getting to know the student on a personal level and making them laugh as well as getting their homework done on time and with high accuracy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When assigned to students, I help them by instilling confidence in them by a step-by-step technique when solving problems. I teach using the "learn by doing" method and practice their homework problems with them. I address their arithmetic mistakes and repeat concepts that they forgot to re-establish a solid math foundation.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I made one of my closest friends in high school by tutoring a student in my class and she left a review that touched my heart so much.
"I always say that Camille is the reason I earned my high school diploma. I would have never passed my math courses if it wasn’t for her help and methods in retaining information from notes, properly studying for exams, and using homework as a study tool. She made the information easy to understand and never boring. Without her helping me through Trig/Precalc and AP Statistics, I would have been completely lost. I went from a D- in my Trig/Precalc class to a B with only two months in the semester remaining! She was the best math tutor I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to adults, teachers, professionals - you name it!) and I’m forever grateful! Plus, I made an amazing friend in the process. Camille, I could never thank you enough!"
