About
I am able to relate to students, and take the time to understand their thought process first. I believe this is the first step to understand where a student is stuck or confused. I enjoy solving problems and helping students figure out where they went wrong. I have immensely benefited from tutoring services during my student years, and I would like employ and strategies that are necessary to make a student successful in the subject they set out to improve upon.
I love to help students find better ways to solve problems. And in studies, it is very important to learn the methods and fundamentals that will help solve a type of problem rather than one specific question. And this is my goal as a tutor, to help students find different of ways of thinking to solve a problem rather than getting to the answer using shortcuts and memorization. But I also believe in finding ways that are unique to each student rather than using the same methods for everyone. Personalized teaching is my goal.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently pursing a dual degree in Molecular Biology and Business at UC Berkeley. I'm profecient in teaching a lot of high school subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Math (up to AP Calculus), and English. I also help with SAT and ACT prep, and essay writing for college admissions. I have been able to help students in the past with their resume for college as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system, but I don't believe in charging more for my classes simply because I'm a private tutor. I want to offer quality help at low prices, because when I was a student, I used to not be able to afford tutoring because of how expensive tutors were. So as of now, I'm offering my services starting at $15 or $20 per hour of session. but depending on the coursework my prices may be a bit higher, but never more than $30 an hour. I believe that students who are struggling should not feel like they have no one to turn to for help simply because they cannot afford tutoring. If you are not sure how much I would charge for you, please reach out to me and we can work out a price that is fair for the both of us. My goal is help people feel like they can do the things that felt previously impossible academically, so money shouldn't stand in the way of that.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students in the years that I have been tutoring. And I enjoy working with every student no matter their grade or age.
